File extension ffd information
FFD file formats are used in number of applications with their use seen in Fortora Fresh Finance that is available in both Windows and Mac OS X systems. Fortora allows a user to use data between Windows and Mac versions of the software interchangeably. The files are used in tracking accounts, budgets, loans, bills and other such-like information. It is even possible to import data files written in other file formats to the application interface and work with it like they are developed with the application.

They are used as data-stream formats to exchange financial information. This latter format has helped to merge not only FFD files with the OFX file formats, but also other bank specific extensions.
